Ever since then, I have been on a downloading streak and I have tried to download old movies and anime films that I have missed (e.g Fifth Element, Pi, High Fidelity etc) Finally caught Spriggan last night, I had only managed to catch the last 1/3 of the show when Arts Central screened it half a year ago. I could have checked out any album by downloading them for a listen first before shelling out my hard earned money for them, but CD buying is really an impulse purchase (that is how I managed to have 600 CDs *Sigh*) and I always end up buying without listening to them.

It is interesting that the list of agents stockpiled by the Russians and Americans includes agents as ineffective as typhus, Q-fever and brucella which are not fatal in the modern era of antibiotics and include crop damaging agents such as wheat stem rust and rice blast that will not affect humans. Of the endless list of possible agents, which are invariably either bacteria or viruses, only anthrax, plague, small pox and botulinum toxin are thought to be likely agents to be used by terrorists. Of these, anthrax is probably the most serious bioterror agent because it needs the simplest of manufacturing infrastructure and is most durable and suitable for many forms of delivery, including, as we have seen, by mail. However, like most chemical and biological weapons (CBWs), anthrax is largely a horror agent. What is the anthrax agent? Anthrax is primarily the disease of herbivore animal who would ingest soil-contaminated vegetables and develop intestinal anthrax, followed by blood poisoning and death. This form of anthrax is by far the most common, and the mildest, form of the disease and is an occupational health problem. The skin form of anthrax is the most likely one to be acquired from mail-delivered spores and is treatable with antibiotics. Another form of anthrax is the intestinal one, acquired via ingestion of contaminated animal products and may be fatal. In contrast, the more severe form of the disease is the inhalational (pulmonary) anthrax, which is almost 90% fatal, unless aborted at the incubation period or treated at the early prodromal phase (when the first flu-like signs and symptoms start appearing). Can terrorists prepare anthrax spores: The Japanese group of Aum Shinrikyo sect, which consisted of skilled medics and scientists, produced and disseminated (unsuccessfully) anthrax spores in Japan. An anthrax-vaccinated terrorist with basic microbiology skills can easily manufacture quantities of anthrax spores from local animal isolates. The latest USA anthrax isolates are unlikely to have originated from Soviet CBW plants, they are said to be sensitive to penicillin and doxycycline (the two first line antibiotics in naturally occurring anthrax). Iraq is another likely source of anthrax for the Al-Qaida terrorists who would have plenty in common with the regime in Baghdad. The Aum Shinrikyo cult of Japan, who managed to poison Tokyo underground commuters with the nerve agent, sarin, failed to deliver anthrax successfully in and around the city, despite repeated attempts. The worst that it can cause is the skin form of anthrax and rarely, but tragically, inhalational form. The nightmare scenario is if the terrorists were able to make the spores air-born and cause more inhalational anthrax in least suspecting populations. The terrorists were able to aerosolise anthrax in the ventilation system of US House of Representatives, but congressmen are not the least suspecting population. His plan might have been to spray American cities with spores and cause inhalational anthrax . In 1972, WHO experts suggested that 50 Kg of anthrax spores, released from an aircraft over an urban population of five million would cause 250,000 cases of the disease. However, the biggest worry is the thought of the quantities of anthrax spores that Atta was planning to aerosolise. Anthrax does not spread easily between people and remains susceptible to many antibiotics, and, in the UK at least, there will be no shortage of antibiotic supply. He does, however, stay true to the ripping nature of the story here, too, forgoing the more civilized and beautiful customs one might see in films, again, like Lawrence of Arabia, favoring instead more barbaric customs, like the natives’ insistence on playing polo with the heads of defeated war chiefs. Anyway, what I’m saying is, they’re that fun to watch.Over the course of the two hours and change, you really, really bond with these characters. I get the feeling that most of the people reading this thing (all six of you) haven’t seen the picture, so I’m not going to give away the ending, except to say that what happens and what it says about the bond between the two men. This is one of those endings that really stays with me.Still, it’s a damn fun movie, despite the tragic end and I feel weird ending an appreciation of such a ripping adventure on a down note, so I’m going to leave you with a quote from Peachy about Daniel. I’ve been a bit down on Google lately, because I even though I can’t live without gmail anymore, their more recent releases have not impressed me a bit. Calendar is every bit as good as gmail though.Everything I liked about 30boxes is still there. Gmail will now prompt you if a message appears to have an event in it, and you can add it to your calendar. Not sure if there is anyway currently to use a website’s iCalendar file without first saving it offline.Not really a calendar issue, but there needs to be a Calendar link from Gmail.

As you may know, the Sinclair Media Group is forcing its affiliate television stations to preempt regularly scheduled prime time programming to air an anti-Kerry documentary, titled Stolen Honor: Wounds That Never Heal, just days before the election. This is a blatantly partisan effort on the part of a company that owns 62 stations, many of which are in the critical swing states of Ohio, Florida, Iowa and Wisconsin, to affect the outcome of the presidential election. How would people feel if a similar company forced it’s broad-reaching stations to air Farenheit 9/11 in key battleground states a week and a half before the election?

On October 11, 2004, the Washington Post reported that the Sinclair Broadcast Group had ordered all 62 of its stations to air Stolen Honor: Wounds That Never Heal without commercials in prime-time next week. Stolen Honor is a privately produced film that claims that John Kerry’s antiwar testimony to Congress in 1971 and his subsequent antiwar protests lengthened the imprisonment and made the treatment of American POWs in Vietnam more harsh. It also claims that Kerry hurt troop morale, and effected the treatment of all Vietnam veterans upon their return to the United States.

She has an upbeat personality that will surely make you cheery when you talk to her.Barely a minute have passed after the call, my cellphone was ringing again. Of course, it was good to have a chat with him again and we gabbed for more than 30 minutes (long distance call, hun!).And there were more! We were talking for almost an hour when I had to end the call to, guess what, answer another call! Because my conversation with Ms Annette didn’t end with a good night and goodbye, I called her back and we had another hour (easy) of gabbing. It was almost midnight when we called it a day.I felt that it was of no coincidence that I got a couple of calls right after talking to God.

Friday was Chris’s game but it was rained out so Jess and I ended up missing it because the rain date was Saturday and Saturday we had Apple picking from 10-6. Apple Picking was soooo fun. We went on a hayride and then we went and picked apples and I climbed trees in my sneaker heals! We then went through a maze and then had caramel apples and apple cider then we headed back to the church to bake bake bake!!! Then I took a 15 minute nape and then got up and went to church to teach Sunday school. Lindsey never showed up for Sunday School so I was in there teaching all alone! At 11:20 Jess came into teach Sunday school and no one showed up to help her so I ended up staying for a while and then I went to get her snack because they didn’t have snacks in her box.

La solution a été de tout réinstaller 30 min avant la présentation, tout ce dont nous avions besoin sur le pc de la salle de présentation.C’est réellement 2 min avant le début de la présentation que tout fonctionnait. Pour cette première présentation, l’équipe a décidé de rester à huis clos avec le jury de facon à gérer au mieux le stress.Apres 20 min de présentation (pile poil) et malheureusement quelque bugs du logiciel, l’équipe s’est soumise au questions du jury, plutot avec succès.

I normally pick the ones with the most amount words or the ones with the longer sentences, or simple ones that don’t have big words. I am 20 - 30 years old. I used to work at Chili’s but it burnt down, after my hair caught on fire in the stove. My friend told me about this job, because my other waiter friends all became recruiters. The funny thing is, this job is really easy. I could basically pick any prospect, because all the resumes look the same anyway. You feel sorry for the guys with 4 degrees. I don’t have a degree and I make 3 times what this guy will make. I don’t know anything about technology. I only visit the Gap site and MTV site. I don’t know what a java is or a Strut or a Microsoft. I don’t really care either. Another trick, people with names that aren’t white sounding are really smart, like the ones with a lot of consonants, like Wong Zhongyu. And if I really like you, just wait til I find your email or phone number. I will call you 5 or 6 times a day and won’t take no for answer. I have nothing to do, so bothering you is fun for me. Oh you dont know anything about Fortran or AS/400″, but you are a senior web developer. That is ok, you are senior, so Fortran will be fun for you. It is probably like programming in the Linux programming language. To be honest, I dont even know how our recruiting company exists. We operate out of an apartment complex, and strangely enough, there are 500 companies here doing the same thing. We just recently made enough money to buy our third phone line. We must have the best. One more thing, make sure to put down your Cell Phone Number, Work/Home, Your parents phone number. We must be able to call you anytime. We will need 10 references so that we can call them all.
